Incentive program

The San Miguel Joint Union School District recognizes the importance of a healthy and safe workplace. As a result, SMJUSD is implementing a Safety Incentive Program. SMJUSD wants to encourage all employees to take part in healthy and safe work practices as well as reporting possible work hazards. Our district is also open to individual safety suggestions from our employees.

SAN MIGUEL SCHOOLS ARE A NO BULLYING ZONE!
Our district has established policies and procedures against all types of bullying—Physical, Verbal, Psychological and Sexual. Information is available at the school office and we will post more information on this website regarding bullying, but if your child is the victim of bullying at school or on the way to or from school, please contact the principal of your school immediately. There is a lengthy definition of bullying in the Education Code, but …

“If it looks mean, if it sounds mean, INTERVENE…or get an adult to intervene.”

To make an anonymous report on bullying at anytime, you may contact WeTip by calling 1-855-86-BULLY.

 DISTRICT SAFETY PROGRAM STATEMENT

The safety and health of all students and employees is a high priority at the San Miguel Joint Union School District. We are responsible for providing a safe and secure working environment and we will maintain a safety and health program conforming to safe standards and practices.

Safety and health will only be achieved through teamwork. A safe working environment is the responsibility of all employees. We must act with concern for ourselves, other staff members and students and we must make an effort to follow the guidelines set forth by our safety committee. Together we can instill good safety practices and guidelines as well as reduce or prevent accidents in our educational environment.
